Dear Water District #12 Property Owner:

As you may know, the Town is moving forward with its plans to install the public water infrastructure Water District #12.  The purpose of this letter is to briefly explain what you can expect from the Monroe County Water Authority in the upcoming months during the Water District’s progress.  Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026 for Contract #1, which includes Britt Rd, Griswold Rd, Hewes Rd, Randall Rd, School Rd, Thwing Rd, Warner Rd and West Bergen Rd.  Construction commencement for Contracts #2 through #4 will be announced at a later date, but the following information applies to all eligible Water District property owners:

MCWA will USPS-mail an information packet to each eligible property owner shortly after construction begins for their respective contract (Contract #1 residents will receive their customized packet in the mail during July, 2026).  Each packet will include instruction guidelines, a customized application, a customized specification sheet for that property’s private line size and material, an explanation of the well options, FAQ’s and the NYSDOH Well Decommissioning procedures.  More details will be in the customized packets.

PLEASE WAIT TO INSTALL YOUR PRIVATE WATER LINE FROM THE BUILDING TO THE RIGHT-OF-WAY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE OUR SIZE AND MATERIAL INFORMATION.  INSUFFICIENT PRESSURE COULD RESULT IF THE WRONG SIZE PIPING IS INSTALLED, AND FREEZING LINES COULD RESULT IF INSTALLED INCORRECTLY.  THANK YOU.
